PIA19422: A Striking Perspective was created on the occasion of the group exhibition Blazing Stars in the vacant rooms of a former casino. Based on my own knowledge attained through my B.Sc., as well as from the original use of the casino, a site-specific work, which plays with the perception of the viewer and questions the ability of the medium photography to capture reality.
What initially appears as a picture of a real planet is in truth a photographically generated fiction.
As PIA19422: A Striking Perspective in fact is a closeup shot, extracted from a video animation of a slot machine.
